Ran’d Shine

In the time that it takes you to read these words, Ran'D has already read your mind and likely figured out which card you will pluck from the deck a week from now.

His unique style and presentation so impressed President Barrack Obama that he was invited to be a special performer for the "Salute to Heroes" at the 44th Presidential Inauguration Banquet and Ball in 2009.

Ran'D is so much more than a magician. He prides himself on being an historian and 'educator of magic'. He has lectured on campuses throughout the Unites States as well as military bases in Japan, Guam, and Korea. Remarkably, he also finds the time to give back to his most adoring fans as a fixture at numerous hospital wards where he entertains children with terminal illnesses.

 Ken Ulanskey

Ken Ulansey’s Whirled Music

Ken Ulansey and Phyllis Chapell have been blending their instruments and voices together for over 15 years. As a duo, they draw from traditions as diverse as the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Brazil, Ireland, India and, of course, the American songbook.  Their travels through most of these cultures lend an authenticity to their music that's wonderful and rare!
Phyllis Chapell plays and sings songs from around the world.  Her repertoire features songs in 12 languages from Brazil, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and the U.S.  The Inquirer raved,  "Chapell is an elegant singer who will steal your heart away.  She eludes all labels!"
Ken Ulansey, Penn Council for the Arts winner, plays alto and soprano sax and pennywhistle.  He is a musical chameleon, having played contemporary classical music with Relache, jazz with his own award-winning band, Latin with Synthesis and Minas, and folk music with most of the area’s--and even the nation’s--leading songwriters.
